Meet Anette & Tekla!

Anette and Tekla started their journey at Marketer as part-time Customer Service Advisors, where they quickly became our face to the outside world – supporting real estate professionals with all kinds of requests. After completing their studies and as Marketer has continued to grow, they’ve taken on new full-time roles that play an important part in keeping our clients happy. We’re excited to introduce Anette and Tekla!

Anette Johansen - Lead Customer Support Advisor

Tell us a bit about your background!

Throughout my life I’ve been involved in many different activities and jobs — everything from taekwondo to cheerdance. Before joining Marketer, I completed my mandatory service at the Armed Forces. Prior to that, I gained experience working at an elementary school, in home care services, and in a clothing store.

Over time, I realized that marketing was something I truly wanted to pursue, which led me to start a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Brand Management. During my studies, I had the opportunity to live both in Oslo and Bergen, while also being able to draw valuable parallels between what I learned in school and my part-time role here at Marketer.

How has it been to go from part-time to full time in your new position as Lead Customer Support Advisor?

How has it been to go from part-time to full time in your new position as Lead Customer Support Advisor?

The transition has been both exciting and motivating. Moving from a student role to a full-time position has allowed me to take on more responsibility, build stronger relationships with colleagues and clients, and truly dive deeper into what great customer support means. It’s inspiring to be part of a company that is growing quickly, and I really value being able to contribute to shaping our customer experience going forward.

Which three things would you bring to a deserted island?

If I were stuck on a deserted island, the first thing I’d bring is a piano — I don’t know how to play, but I guess I’d finally have the time to learn. I’d also bring a hammock, because if I’m stranded, I might as well enjoy the view in comfort. And lastly, I’d take a Swiss Army knife, since it’s practical for just about anything, from building to cooking — and I guess I should bring at least one practical thing!

Tekla Vollen - Junior Customer Success Manager

Tell us a bit about your background!

I recently completed my master’s degree in Media and Communication at the University of Bergen, where I wrote my thesis on how Norwegian media frame climate policy. Earlier during my studies, I also worked in the communications department at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. So I guess you could say I’ve gone from writing about storms in the forecast to helping clients navigate the sometimes stormy waters of digital marketing and technology.

How has it been to go from part-time to full time in your new position as Junior Customer Success Manager?

How has it been to go from part-time to full time in your new position as Junior Customer Success Manager?

For me, the best part has been getting the chance to be more involved. Instead of only seeing parts of the process, I now get to follow projects from start to finish, which brings new challenges and plenty of learning along the way. I really enjoy following up and working closely with clients, and seeing how our efforts make a difference for them. And, of course, getting to spend even more time with my great colleagues is a huge bonus.

Which three things would you bring to a deserted island?

I would bring sunscreen, factor 50, because I’d rather focus on finding food than aloe vera. I’d also bring a pillow. A well rested castaway is a happy castaway. And finally, a mirror (mostly for signaling to passing ships, but also for practicing my “rescued at last”-face).
